Cold War Modern @ Victoria and Albert Museum

Firstly i was so surprised to see how enormous this show was as soon as i entered the cold war show, i assumed that it was a one single room but failed to realised that when i got towards the end which looks like an exit there was a sign pointed cold war continue this way.

I have a great admire of architectural design and like to analyse how the structure of a building works. Their was one particular group which have stood out from the crowd in the cold war modern named Haus rucker there design and the structure of the building was amazing it seems to me everything they worked on was for the future and how it could lead on to be a potential. (
they will defiantly play a pivotal role in designing for the entertainment Big brother show). Unfortunately i couldn't take any photographs and post it on my blog because the securities were being very scrict wherever so and so direction i turned to their was always seem to be a security guard patrolling, so i gathered some images via the web.

Museum Haus Lange, Krefeld
1971

The Lange House, designed in 1921 by Mies van der Rohe as a spacious single-family home, was roofed over with an air-supported hall made of a white-coated material. In response to the "L"-shaped plan of the house the barrel-vaulted hall with its rounded ends had a heart-shaped plan and also roofed a part of the terraced garden. In the interior the light, evenly filtered through the shell from all sides, created a pallid hothouse atmosphere in which not only the garden plants started to change but also the proportions of the house itself. The facades were completely dematerialised and began to seem flat and paper-like.

Alan Aldridges @ Design Museum

In the afternoon we took a trip down to the design museum to see Alan Aldridges work. As i enter a room full of Aldridges work it just reminded me of a hippie theme, something i will see in an Austin power movie and maybe im waiting for Austin power to do his groovy dance and pop up near by, but seriously his work was like a rainbow bright colourful and plenty of colours are involved. His show seems visually busy and have to say that his drawings were aimed to perfection, his hands are denfinatly gods gifted. His thinking was unusual though because as i sat in the main room ( near the sophisticated mini cooper) all i see was drawings of work which looks like a tattoo parlour. Many of his work was a representation, every drawing had a meaning behind it with some of them involued politics (like Jonathan Barnbrooks)

I tried to take some snap shots but it seems to me that there was this one design museum staff which kept on following me, I'm being there trying to move away from her but every time when i bring my camera out she seems to be there, when she walks off she turns back around if shes watching my tracks and thinking i be doing some smart manoeuvre. ( it seems to me that we were playing Tom and Jerry) .Well eventually i did take some photographs and i will post it on my blog which shows all the effort i physically photographed. Hypothetically if this particular design museum staff worker does come across my blog page and writes a comment then tuff.(what are the possibilities?).
I know the photographs doesn't look clear but at least i manage to take some pictorial evidence.
